Deborah Gardiner, PT, CHT, ATC

Debbie is a Physical Therapy graduate of Quinnipiac University and completed Certified Athletic Trainer requirements at Central Connecticut State University.  After several years of practice in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and years of working with several Connecticut, Boston, and New York City Hand Surgeons, she completed the specialized requirements to be a Certified Hand Therapist in 2001.

Debbie has over 36 years of experience assessing and treating orthopedic and sports injuries primarily specializing in the upper and lower extremities, as well as complex shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand injuries and surgeries. She has worked with athletes of every age, at every level, and has patients personally referred to her by numerous well accomplished physicians and surgeons. Prior to moving to the Adirondacks, Debbie was owner/manager for 25 years of what grew to be a large orthopedic sports medicine physical therapy practice in Connecticut.

As a client, you will receive a physical assessment of your orthopedic condition or problem and will be provided a medically tailored exercise program if appropriate for your phase of healing. Recommendations will be made regarding self-management and recommendations for an assessment by your physician if this has not yet been done. Debbie will work with your physician to coordinate your treatment plan in a team approach. In addition, recommendations will be provided for ongoing wellness and fitness appropriate for you.

Debbie is a lifelong avid downhill skier and grew up skiing all over the Northeast and Adirondacks.  A few other activities she enjoys include hiking, cycling, and pickleball . She is so grateful to call the Adirondacks her home
